We accept only vector based files for any laser cutting services;
Our favorite program suitable for graphic is Adobe Illustrator (V3, V.8, V.10, CS, CS2, CS3).
However, artwork can also be done on any other vector based software (ie: CorelDraw, AutoCAD).
Acceptable file formats include: AI, DXF, EPS, saved from native vector based applications.
(Note: Before you save the artwork, all fonts MUST be converted to outlines.
All the artwork should also be saved in a 1:1 scale)
Vector graphics for cutting on laser should all be on one layer.
Be sure to:
- Set all the cutting lines to one color
- Ensure that all lines are connected
- Check that there are no double lines or duplicates of ther artwork.
- Leave space between the graphics and the enclosing material, about 1/2” on all sides.
Note that:
- All double lines will cause the laser to cut the same path twice which will reduce
accuracy, and cutting time resulting in higher costs.
- All graphics should fit the material size 1:1 scale.

Select all and from the "select" menu

From the "type" menu select create outlines.

Now all the text became has been converted to editable vector paths.

to make into a polyline, press enter. You shoud also use the join command within pedit to make additional polylines.
Make sure that you are working in modelspace
Your graphics/drawings should be in modelspace and in actual size ( 1:1 ) for cutting.
